Clothing the Family with Care & Love

The FHC Community Clothing Center is an outreach extension of Pastor Chad Carter and Family Harvest Church, and is made possible by the selfless sacrifice of God’s people here at Family Harvest Church.  Clothing items are given freely with love in the name of Jesus Christ.

The Clothing Center will be open for the public to shop during designated dates and times only.  If you are in need of emergency clothing and cannot wait until the next designated date and time, please call the church office at 812-883-2523.  If it is at all possible, we will schedule an emergency appointment for you to visit the Clothing Center outside of regular times.  Appointments will be considered on a case-by-case basis as determined by the Directors.

In an effort to maximize our effectiveness and reach as many souls as possible through the
FHC Community Clothing Center, the following simple guidelines will be observed:

FHC Clothing Center Guidelines:

When You Come In
  • Family Harvest Church doesn't require anyone to divulge employment status, annual household incomes, and we don't grill people on their financial situations before they enter the Community Clothing Center to shop.  The only thing we require is that shoppers arrive during the designated shopping hours and provide their complete name and address.  This is so that we may keep our shoppers informed of other Community Clothing Center events and various public outreaches of Family Harvest Church.

When You Shop
  • Garments/Items may only be selected for individuals who are present.
  • Limit of 20 garments/items, per person, per day of operation.
  • Garments/Items received must be comparable sizes for the person choosing them.

When You’re Finished Shopping
  • Take your garments/items to the Registrar Desk.  A Community Clothing Center worker will bag your items for you and sign you out.

Donations greatly needed and gladly accepted:

Do you have some old clothes?  Do you have garments that you stuff into a bag every few months and tote off to Goodwill?  If so, why not make your clothing donation here at Family Harvest Church where those in need will be able to receive it free of charge!

We need contributions of...
  • gently used clothing for adults and children.  Please don't give us items that are torn, tattered, or stained with food or paint.  We only stock items that are gently used and would be honorable for people to receive from our ministry.
  • new undergarments, t-shirts, socks, etc, for adults and children
  • ballcaps, belts, purses, shoes, boots, etc.
  • personal hygiene items for women and men
  • etc.

God will bless you for your willingness to bless others (see Luke 6:38).  Won't you be a part of warming a chilled body this winter?  Perhaps you or your church would like to help us in this endeavor!  Please contact Family Harvest Church if you would like to help in this challenging community outreach.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Enter, you who are blessed by my
Father! Take what's coming to you in this kingdom. It's been ready for you since
the world's foundation. And here's why:
I was hungry and you fed me,
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink,
I was homeless and you gave me a room,
I was shivering and you gave me clothes,
I was sick and you stopped to visit,
I was in prison and you came to me.'
Then those 'sheep' are going to say, 'Master, what are you talking about? When
did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink? And when
did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?' Then the King will say,
'I'm telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone
overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.' ”
Matthew 25:34-40, The Message Bible
