Obviously, 2007 had been marked as FHC's
year for God's favor.  The gates have been
opened wide by the Lord for some of the best
preaching and teaching, not just from our
Pastor, but from some of the greatest
ministers the Lord has available in this
nation.

Many are aware of the impact Dr. Lester
Sumrall had on the church in this modern
age.  He went home to be with the Lord in
1996.  Fortunately, he left us a wonderful
legacy of faith - a lineage we are blessed to
claim through the ministry of his spiritual son, Pastor Rod Parsley.  The Lord has seen fit, however, to allow Pastor Chad Carter and Family Harvest Church to receive of that lineage even further through the ministry of Dr. Sumrall's natural sons as well!  How truly blessed we have been!

In June of 2007, Family Harvest Church was privileged to host a Holy Ghost Rally with Frank Sumrall, a son of Dr. Lester Sumrall.  But on October 24th, 2007, Pastor Chad & Sarah Carter were blessed to welcome another of Dr. Sumrall's natural sons, as we hosted Pastor Stephen Sumrall of South Bend, Indiana.  Pastor Sumrall is the Senior Pastor of Christ Chapel Church and the President of Sumrall Ministries, Provident Ministries, and Feeding the Nations.

Deaconess Lisa Hawkins opened the service
with a shout and exhorted the congregation to
turn loose and let God touch them.

Psalmist John & Dianne Robinson again
joined with FHC and opened for us with a
soul-stirring time of Praise & Worship.  What
a blessing they are to Pastor Carter and Miss
Sarah, and to the entire congregation of FHC.

Pastor Carter greeted the congregation and
welcomed those who were visiting with us for
the first time.  We are honored by those who have visited us, and we invite them all to just make themselves at home and become part of the family here at Family Harvest Church.  We are ready to experience growth for the Kingdom of God, and we believe each and every visitor will play an important role in that growth.  Pastor Carter acknowledged our visitors from neighboring towns and churches and thanked them for their participation in the service.

After a few moments of exhortation, Pastor
Carter ministered in receiving tithes and
offerings, and challenged the congregation
to obedient to the Word of God concerning
their giving.  He stressed the importance of
obedience in relation to our giving and that
the harvest we receive will be in direct
proportion to the way in which we sow.

Psalmist John Robinson again blessed us
in song as the offering was received.

Following the offering time, Pastor Carter
shared his memories of growing up in the central Indiana area and watching Dr. Lester Sumrall on the WHMB TV-40 television station.  He shared how he never imagined that his life would take him from Indiana to Ohio to sit under the ministry of Pastor Rod Parsley and World Harvest Church, a place so vitally influenced by the ministry of Dr. Sumrall, all the way back to his home state of Indiana to become a pastor, and eventually welcome the natural sons of Dr. Sumrall into his pulpit.  As the old saying says, "the Lord moves in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform."

Pastor Carter then welcomed Pastor Sumrall
to the platform of Family Harvest Church for
the very first time.  He was warmly welcomed
by the congregation as he came.

Pastor Sumrall shared with FHC about some
of the dynamic ministries and outreaches that
are coming out of Provident Ministries and
Christ Chapel in South Bend.  He shared
about an upcoming tour to the Holy Land and
invited the congregation to go along with him.

Brother Sumrall then opened the Word of God and shared from its pages a word in season for the congregation of Family Harvest Church.  He took the words of the Apostle Paul's admonition to Timothy to "let no man despise thy youth."  Pastor Sumrall's message however, did not necessarily focus on the youth of age, but on young ministry works.  He encouraged FHC to hold to the vision God has given and pursue it with all our might.

Pastor Sumrall said, "It was a blessing to visit with you and I trust and believe along with you for tremendous growth and success for the Kingdom of God.  You have begun a great work for the Lord and He who is faithful will bring it to completion."  He ministered for several minutes and greatly encouraged the congregation.

Then he ministered in prayer for those who needed a healing in their bodies.  Many lifted their hand indicating that they were believing for a touch of the Lord.  After this time of prayer and faith, the service was turned back over to Pastor Carter.

Pastor Carter invited those who did not know Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord to put their faith and trust in His name and the completed work of Calvary.  Those who needed special spiritual assistance were invited to go to one of FHC's elders or deacons for agreement in a prayer of faith.

FHC is proud to report 70 were in attendance for this wonderful night of blessing.
