The voice of Christians concerned about morality and integrity in our nation has been silent for too long. Pastor Chad Carter is working in unison with his pastor, Pastor Rod Parsley of World Harvest Church in Columbus, Ohio, and the founder and president of The Center for Moral Clarity (CMC), to call believers from coast to coast to come together in a united force to make their voices heard. It is our duty as Christians to be engaged at every level of government and society to defend truth and shape our culture through morality and righteousness. From school boards to the U. S. Congress, from executive board rooms to soccer moms, and from the local church to Hollywood – there is a place for God-fearing people of faith to take a stand to defend all that is right in America against all that is wrong. You may have wanted to do something to make a difference, but simply did not know what to do, how to do it or when to do it.
The mission of the CMC is to provide the resources, information and tools you need to stand up for the issues you believe are worth fighting for. The following are just a few of the things you can do to get started to make an impact in your community:
1. Pray for America and those in authority
- There is no greater responsibility than to stand in the gap in intercessory prayer for our nation and its leaders and believe God to heal our land.
2. Do the “Write” Thing
- When you become aware of issues that are central to your faith and family, contact those that are representing you at all levels of government and express your opinion. Writing letters and emails is a valid means of expressing your point of view. From the homepage of the CMC, click “Contact Your Government” to find a detailed directory of your state and federal legislators and contact information. Don’t forget about writing letters to the editor of your local newspapers, favorite magazines and news organizations. This is a key way you can shape our culture by keeping the values central to your faith in the public eye.
3. Telephone Your Legislature
- Letters are often delayed in reaching the appropriate person. An extensive amount of emails can be simply tallied rather than read, but a phone call must be answered. Placing a personal call to voice your view is extremely important and often causes a buzz in our legislators offices.
4. Visit With Your Elected Representatives
- Meeting with your legislators either at their offices or at an event they are sponsoring is a great way to thank them for their service and ask that they defend the family and life issues that America’s moral base adheres to.
5. Consider Becoming a Member of The Center for Moral Clarity
- Simply visit the website of The Center for Moral Clarity to complete the enrollment form and become a member. You will be added to the CMC mail list to receive timely updates on current issues and upcoming initiatives of The Center for Moral Clarity.
6. Ask your family and friends to become members of CMC
- Your help in spreading the word and getting behind our efforts at the grassroots level will cause others to take notice.
The Center for Moral Clarity exists to affect moral change in our nation by encouraging passionate and persuasive Christian leadership, educating Christians, mobilizing believers in an organized fashion and by providing a wide-range of tools needed to equip everyone from the five-fold ministers to the individuals to be a voice in our nation. The Bible, as the authoritative Word of God, is the foundation of CMC. Prayer, information and activism are the three primary ways we believe we can shape our culture, grow healthy families and empower churches.
Pastor Chad Carter encourages you to visit
The Center for Moral Clarity to learn how
you can become actively involved in the
moral reformation of America.
