"Resurrection Rest in Christ"
April, 2006

“Then Jesus said, Come unto me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy
burdens, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you.  Let me teach you,
because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for you souls.
For my yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I give you is light.”
(Matthew 11:28-30, NLT)

Today we celebrate the great getting’ up morning when our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, demonstrated His authority as the King of kings and Lord of lords!  Today, we celebrate when He arose from the dead, triumphant over death, hell and the grave!  Today, we celebrate the glorious news that He first charged Mary and Martha to go and tell… the glorious news that He is alive!  He is alive forevermore!

Easter Resurrection Sunday is a supernatural time when God comes on the scene of your life and makes things start to happen.  Things that you thought were dead and gone can be brought back to life in an instant!  Just as the women in the Garden that day did not recognize at first that it was Jesus when they saw Him, God is about to do some things for you that will make you have to do a double-take on your situation.  He is about to work on your behalf to the point that you will have to stop and look at that miracle and say, “Is that You, Lord? …I never saw it comin’!”  How many of you are ready for a miracle that blindsides you and is more than you could have ever imagined?

I don’t care what you may be faced with in this supernatural season of resurrection power, if you will place it in the hands of God, as Jesus did His own life, God will take those things that appear to be dead and bring them back to life again!

Just as Jesus had to face death and be buried as a seed in the ground, so must we, at times, stare death in the face.  So must we face situations that we have to place in His hands.  So must we have to understand that we don’t have to bear the burden alone.  If we’ll bury the burdens of life in His hands, a mighty harvest of miracles will come.

He’ll take what the enemy intended to destroy you with, and turn it around into a miraculous blessing for your life.  He’ll take the heavy burden from your shoulders and remove the bondage from around your neck and replace it with a light and joyous responsibility – the responsibility of casting your cares on Him (Matt. 11:28-30).  If we will bury our circumstances and our situations in His hands, sowing them as seed in His hands, we too may experience resurrection power in our lives and see the harvest of God spring forth in amazing and unexpected ways.

What do you desire to experience in this time of resurrection and abundance?  What is your heart longing to see manifest in your eyes?  I dare you to take what you see with your natural eyes, place it as a seed in the hands of the Everlasting Father and see what kind of miraculous harvest comes as a result of it.  It’s God’s desire to bless you beyond your ability to believe!  So take Him at his Word, release what’s in your hand and take what’s waiting for you in His.  Exchange your lack for abundance.  Exchange your doubt for faith.  Exchange your disease for healing.  Exchange your pain for pleasure.  Exchange your bondage for liberty in Christ!  Whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36)!

I don’t care what you may stand in need of today, because Christ got up from the grave proving His power and omnipotence as God in the flesh, we too can experience the miraculous in our lives!  Just reach up today, and receive a touch from heaven that brings to life again everything in your life that has been heading for death and destruction!  Our King is alive forevermore, and because He lives, we may live also (John 14:19)!
