Grand Opening of the Family Harvest Food Bank
& Community Clothing Center

Praise the Lord! On March 17, 2007,
Pastor Chad Carter and Family Harvest
Church were proud to throw the doors
wide open for the Grand Opening of the
Family Harvest Food Bank & Community
Clothing Center.
Pastor Carter would like to thank Sister Dolores Bush (Food Bank & Clothing Center Director), Sister Ailene Nunley, Sister Pam Jent and Sister Dee Flanders for all their hard work and preparation of this new ministry for the local church.
At 9:00am, we opened the doors and welcomed the community to come in and select clothing items of their choice. They were greeted at the door with handshakes and hugs, and were served free coffee, punch and cookies of all kinds. This was our small way of saying "welcome" to the visitors who came.
This was a "Winter Clothing Giveaway", and we were so happy that clothing got into the hands of those who need it. One family was so touched by the generosity of the local church that after they left, they came back in to thank the ladies for their assistance and to express how much it meant to them to be able to come pick out some clothing.
We believe in ministry here at Family Harvest Church, and this is just one way we feel the Lord has called us to reach out into the community. □
