FHC's 2nd Ladies Morning Fellowship Bruncheon
"Going To The Garden With Jesus"
March 24, 2007
Elder Eunice Madden hosted this second
ever Ladies Morning Fellowship Bruncheon
of Family Harvest Church on March 24, 2007.
The theme of the day was "Going to the
Garden."
The Ladies of the local church came out to
experience fellowship together and to have
an encounter with the Lord that was planned
just for them.
Sister Madden opened the morning greeting
the ladies who were present and gave a
wonderful, anointed exhortation about getting
into the garden with Jesus. She
demonstrated that sometimes we have to go
to the garden alone, like Jesus did, to get
ahold of God.
She spoke on how Mary came to the Garden
tomb, and thinking that she saw the gardener,
she actually had come face to face with the
resurrected Christ. The entire emphasis of
the morning was concerning getting into the
garden with Jesus.
The ladies had prayer, and were dismissed
to the Fellowship Hall, which had been
beautifully transformed into the Garden Cafe',
where wonderful pastries and breakfast
foods were served. There was a banquet of
good food from various places, and wonderful
pastries from the Panera Bread bakery and
restaurant.
Following their time in the Garden Cafe', the
ladies returned to the sanctuary for the
continuation of the festivities. Deacon Shane
Hawkins led in praise and worship, and
Deaconess Lisa Hawkins performed a
wonderful interpretive dance to "Come to
Jesus and Live." What an anointed, moving
moment this was as Sister Lisa interpretively
demonstrated how we must "fall on Jesus"
for the reality that He is the one who can bring
life to what seems dead in our lives.
As Sister Lisa spontaneously performed the
song a second time, Sister Madden was
moved upon by the Lord to remove the royal
purple linen that draped the garden bench on
the platform. She took it from the platform
and layed it over someone who was praying
in the altar. She then took a walk through the
congregation and layed it on various ones
who were worshipping the Lord. There was
a tremendously sweet and peaceful spirit that
permeated the atmosphere during this time
of intimate worship in the Garden of the Lord.
Following this time with the Lord, our guest
speaker for the day, Sister Linda Norrell,
brought a wonderful Word from the Lord. She
relayed to the women that she desired to tell
them they were beautiful flowers in the Lord's
garden, but that the Lord spoke to her that
they were not flowers, but strong trees in His
garden.
Sister Norrell gave a Word from the Lord that,
"although we were tall, strong trees in the
Lord's garden, there are those who have
come along in an attempt to drain the sap, or
the life, from our branches." She used the
example of the beautiful yellow-bellied sap
sucker bird to illustrate how some have come
along and pecked holes into our trunks and
slowly began to extract the sap, the life, out of
us. She explained that even though the sap
sucker is beautiful, we must identify that he is
the enemy, and we must take away his ability
to suck the life out of us.
What a wonderful parallel that Sister Linda
brought to us. We will no longer allow the
enemy to come and poke around in our
branches to suck the life from us!
Sister Linda then began to operate in prophetic Gifts of the Spirit as she prayed individually for all who desired it. The Gift of the Word of Prophecy and several Words of Knowledge came forth to strengthen and bless all those who were present.
This service was a wonderful time in the Lord! Thank you to Elder Eunice Madden, Sister Linda Norrell, and all those who made this wonderful day a reality for the ladies of Family Harvest Church.
