"World Harvest Morning"
with Terry Taylor & Shawn Hyland
Sunday, June 10, 2007

Sunday morning, June 10, 2007
proved to be yet another
dynamic and pivotal moment in
the life of Family Harvest
Church.  God has been
preparing our local congrega-
tion for the next phase of
ministry that will effect positive
change for the Kingdom of God
in our community.  He has set
the stage and prepared our
hearts for a change of mind and
spirit to more fully embrace His
calling for our lives.

In the past several weeks leading up to this morning's events, God had been instructing our congregation in in the ministry of servitude and helps.  Pastor Chad Carter has been preaching dynamic messages about the need for Vision, self-denial, and spiritual accountability.  Then, a few weeks ago, Brother John & Dianne Robinson instructed a three-hour training on the importance of servitude in the Body of Christ.  God carried the theme of "vision" and "service" right on through to this morning of ministry and instruction with our guests from World Harvest Church in Columbus, Ohio.

Pastor Chad Carter was overjoyed to welcome Evangelists Terry Taylor and Shawn Hyland, both staff members of World Harvest Church, for this special time of ministry to the congregation of Family Harvest Church, and their anointing and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit's leading for the current position of Family Harvest Church could not have been more evident.

Minister John Robinson opened the service with a tremendous time of praise and worship and led the congregation into the presence of the Lord.  We are always so blessed by the ministry of Minister John and Dianne Robinson, and we were so grateful to them for being with us again for another wonderful service.  They have truly become part of our church family!

Brother Robinson introduced Pastor Carter, and he came to the platform with a shout unto God and lead the congregation in the old familiar song, "There is Power in the Blood."  The Holy Spirit began to move and a time of ministry in the altar followed, as "The Blood Will Never Lose It's Power" continued.  Pastor Carter layed hands on some and led in prayer for those needing a touch from the Lord.

Following the special time of altar ministry, Pastor Carter awarded the winners of the attendance contest with special prizes.  Sister Shirley Bobo won a $50 gift card for bringing 14 people to church (some traveling from as far as Cincinnati, Ohio!), and Sister Rhonda Mauch won a $50 gift card for having 10 people present with her for service.  Pastor Carter was so proud of these ladies and exhorted the congregation to continue inviting their family and friends to come out and be a part of the move of God happening here at Family Harvest Church.  ...A church alive is certainly worth the drive!

Next, Pastor Carter invited Rhonda Mauch, one of our attendance contest winners, to join him at the pulpit, where she was received into membership at Family Harvest Church.  She had been attending Family Harvest for almost a year and expressed her desire to take the step deeper in involvement by becoming a member of the local church.  She gave a wonderful testimony of how the Lord had baptized her in the Holy Ghost and led her to Family Harvest Church where she knew she was "home!"  She thanked God for a man of God like Pastor Carter that she could claim as her pastor.  She invited those who needed a church home to take the same steps as she, and seek to become members of Family Harvest Church.

Pastor Carter read some Scriptures and exhorted from the Word of God and received tithes and offerings from the congregation as Brother John Robinson blessed the congregation with another wonderful song.

Following offering time, Pastor Carter introduced Brother Terry Taylor and Brother Shawn Hyland to the congregation and took a few moments to interview them concerning their positions at World Harvest Church.  It was great to hear about their involvement in the mega-ministry of Pastor Rod Parsley and World Harvest Church, and gave our congregation a glimpse into our own future.

Brother Terry Taylor began this time of tag-team ministry by speaking to the congregation of Family Harvest Church about "Vision."  This was an anointed word from the Lord that was in perfect keeping with the theme that God has been bringing forth to us for the last several weeks.

He shared from the Word of God concerning God's established priority of vision in the body, and how the vision always flows from the head downward.  Brother Taylor gave Scriptural truths that identified that God never gives vision to the body, or to a committee, but he has chosen to give vision through one specific channel - the man through which He has ordained to be the head.  Vision comes from the head, Brother Taylor explained, because that's the place from which the body can see, hear, sense and speak the vision of the Lord.

Brother Taylor gave many informative statistics concerning the state of Indiana and the capital city of Indianapolis.  He read a report that identified Indianapolis as the "city without a head."  Then he identified Indianapolis as the birth-place of Pastor Chad Carter, a man with a vision whom God has called to be the head of Family Harvest Church.  The parallels he brought forth were amazing testimonies to the call God has placed on us here at FHC.

He shared how he had visited the website of the governor of Indiana, which listed the governor's accomplishments and achievements, but gave no vision for the future.  Then Brother Taylor said he went to the FHC website, and the first thing he saw were the words, "Family Harvest Church is a New Testament Church that is ministering and speaking prophetically to our community, state, region, and eventually the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ."  He gave this example to show that our prophetic and pastoral head has more vision and purpose for the future than the governor of our state.

Brother Taylor continued by quoting the motto of the state of Indiana, which is "The Crossroads of America," and then brought the parallel again to the very first vision-point of Pastor Carter, which states, on the pages of this very website, that FHC exists "To stand at the intersection of life and eternity and bridge the gap between God and man, exposing the darkness of man's sinful path and separation from God, and pointing the way to the remedy:  the redemptive work of Calvary's Cross."  ...Pastor Carter about fell out of his chair, as this parallel had not been known by him until this moment.

Brother Taylor concluded this intriguing message giving a tag-team hand-off to Brother Shawn Hyland who wasted no time getting to it!  He jumped in feet-first and hit the floor running.

Brother Hyland preached on "The Power of the Stretch," using a rubber-band as an illustration.  He had rubber-bands passed throughout the congregation.  He used the rubber-band to illustrate that the rubber-band alone has no power.  It just dangles there and does nothing.  It is not until the rubber-band is stretched around something that its purpose is defined and its power begins to manifest.

Brother Hyland gave several Scriptural references concerning the power of God being manifested when the stretch began to take place.  From Moses, to Aaron, to Elisha, the power of God was manifested when there was a divine stretch that took place.  He exhorted our congregation to allow the Holy Ghost to stretch us beyond our limits to accomplish something great for the Kingdom of God.

He continued his message by giving the story of the Moravians, who's plea is seen on the homepage of the FHC website and has been quoted often by Pastor Rod Parsley and Pastor Chad Carter alike:  "May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward of His suffering."  Brother Hyland helped us to understand that all that we do is to be in keeping with the vision of our Heavenly Father (which is souls) and for the advancement and establishment of the Kingdom of God.

Following his message, Brother Taylor and Brother Hyland prayed for Pastor and Sister Carter and asked FHC's leadership to join in that prayer by coming forward in a show of support.  Brother Taylor told the congregation that he had asked Pastor Carter what it was that he needed the congregation's help with the most, and told us that Pastor Carter's only request was that we get outside of our walls and reach the lost, bringing them back into the House of God to grow in the grace and love of God.  He said, "that's all your Pastor wants."

Following their portion, they turned the service back to Pastor Carter who issued an invitation to anyone who needed to know the Lord.  Two people lifted their hands, and prayed to become born again by grace through faith in Christ.

We were overjoyed to have 85 in attendance of this wonderful service and two who received Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior
